By the way… commission alone on a 100-million-dollar deal would be minimum $100K for the Coverage Associate who brings it in.

The Position

Valitas is seeking to build a foundation of Investment Banking Coverage Associates to build and nurture the firm’s pipeline. To support our growth while maintaining our culture, our ideal candidate is somebody who is interested in growing with us long-term. The sales cycles are lengthy and complex; this is not a position where you will secure many “quick wins”. As such, we are not looking for the “slick Rick” salesperson, we are looking for a delicate balance between an analytical mindset and someone who is courageous enough to connect with and pitch high-powered individuals. That person will:

  • Provide personalized follow-ups of leads, using a multitude of mediums, striking the right balance of persistence and respecting the prospect’s time
  • Make upwards of 30 outreaches per day, turning gatekeepers into allies and building trust
  • Work within our outreach system and help improve that system over time
  • Schedule introductory appointments, primarily phone calls, for Partners
  • Leverage our customized CRM, social selling and other advanced techniques to compile critical account and market intelligence to improve the quality and quantity of our engagements
  • You are CRM-savvy, meticulous and organized in taking notes, tracking activities, maintaining records and managing follow-up tasks
  • Help develop outreach strategies and design targeted campaigns
  • Help us build and continually improve our rapidly-evolving lead generation capabilities, leveraging data-driven targeting, best-in-class processes and technology

While prior success in a B2B sales role is an asset, we are most interested in finding a person for this role who has the right attitude and personal attributes. We provide excellent training and support to ensure success in this role for the right person. However, demonstrated customer service focus and strong relationship building skills with mature decision makers are a must.

Compensation

Base compensation is $70,000 per year. In your first year your target total compensation is $80,000, however, performance-based commission is uncapped. Total target compensation in your in your second year is $120,000, based on attainable targets. By your third year, successful Coverage Associates will have built a robust pipeline of leads, and as such, target compensation is anywhere from $200K-$500K.
