Canadian M&A Market Recap: Week Ended August 31st

Market Update

Sixty Canadian M&A transactions closed this past week. Year to date, M&A closed deal count is 4.3% lower than the comparable period in 2017. The Canadian dollar depreciated by 0.25 cents, ending the week at 76 cents. The TSX underperformed the S&P 500 by 1.8% in U.S. dollar terms. WTI Crude oil rose by 1.5%, ending the week at $69.05 per barrel.

Total transaction value is estimated to be $500,000.

Havilah Mining Canada to Acquire Tully Mining Claims & Mining Lease in Timmins, Ontario
